Bottle at Las Buenas Pulgas, served in a snifter glass. Black colour, small head with no retention, tiny but sticky lacing.
Aroma is great, bourbon, chocolate, wood, leather, raisins, honey, black pepper, berries.
Full body, sticky texture, flat carbonation. Sweet finish with alcohol and raisins.
Taste of bourbon, wood, chocolate, black pepper, rain, leather, honey.
Wonderful. And it will be better after storing for some years.

Pours a pitch-black colorationt with a small, fluffy, mocha-colored head. Smells of roasted, caramel malt, distinct, dark chocolate and hints of vanilla and charred oak. Taste is an excellent balance of slightly roasted, caramel malt, very light bitter, herbal hops and a very distinct, rather dark and bitter chocolate presence, as well as lighter coffee, licorice, vanilla and hints of charred oak. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some chocolate and lighter licorice and vanilla lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a very rich body and light carbonation.
This makes for quite a rich bourbon barrel-aged Stout with strong, very dark and bitter chocolate notes and a heavy bourbon presence that feels quite warming in the finish although never becoming quite too boozy for the ABV. There's quite a nice balance of sweet caramel and lightly roasted and bitter notes going on here and although the chocolate and bourbon is quite dominant, the spicy and woody notes, along with some coffee, offer some depth, making for a more complex and rounded-out flavor profile. Overall, this is another exceptional brew from the Silver Series that is rather rich and heavy, with quite a depth of flavor and good balance of sweet, roasted, spicy and bitter notes, as well as an excellent mouthfeel and intoxicating aroma.
