Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some light spicy malt notes and honey faint notes. Taste is also a mix of dry roasted malt with some faint bitterness and some honey notes with faint buckwheat malt notes also noticeable. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with no alcohol perceptible. Well brewed imperial stout with a nice touch of honey and buckwheat.

Pours a pitch-black coloration with a large, creamy, mocha-colored head. Smells of slightly roasted, caramel malt, chocolate and dark fruit, with a distinct honey note as well. Taste is a good balance of slightly roasted, quite caramelly malt, honey and brown sugar, with some chocolate and dark fruit, with notes of raisin and fig, as well as hints of molasses and licorice. Finishes rather sweet, with some caramel malt brown sugar, honey, chocolate and dark fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a rich body and low carbonation.

While this makes for a quite rich and reasonably complex Imperial Stout, it's just way too sweet for my personal taste, with most parts of the flavor profile leaning in that direction here, with too little roasted, bitter accents to balance things out and that honey presence feeling a little overdone. While it never feels quite too boozy for the ABV, the sweetness is still too much for me here, making this difficult to finish.
