Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical, citrus, stone fruit hops, with notes of papaya, tangerine and apricot, as well as hints of earthiness. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and and fruity, juicy, slightly earthy and resinous hops, with tropical, citrus, stone fruit and berry notes of papaya, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, apricot and hints of blueberry and gooseberry as well as accents of black tea and pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some papaya, grapefruit and black tea lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a very nice NEIPA with quite a broad flavor spectrum to it that incorporates tropical, citrus, stone fruit and lighter berry notes, which all manage to be fairly well-defined andx stand out juicy and vibrant. It'sa not just a fruit salad though, as there are some rather earthy and slightly resinous accents to this as well, which really round out the flavor profile to me, while finishing qith quite a good bitterness for the style. I really love that black tea note that Idaho 7 brings to the table and this brew highlights that very nicely, while also bringing out those berry notes that you don't always get from Mosaic.
