Pours a opaque, deep crimson red coloration with a small, fizzy, quickly disappearing head. Smells of sweet strawberry, tart raspberry and cookie dough, with hints of chocolate also coming through. taste is a great balance of fruity, tart and sweet strawberry and raspberry notes, with the red grape also coming through more strongly than in the nose, as well as some cookie dough and lighter chocolate and vanilla. Finishes with a light sweetness, medium tartness and some raspberry, red grape and cookie dough lingering inn the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I can quite enjoy a well done Pastry Sour, a guilty pleasure of mine, and this definitely qualifies, proving once again that Pühaste makes these Fruited Sours just as well as they do Stouts and Porters. The cookie dough comes through surprisngly strongly here, along with lighter chocolate and vanilla. These sweet notes are balanced rather well by tart raspberry and red grape though, not feeling cloying or overwhelming. Mouthfeel is rather nice as well, but could be a bit more thick for the style.
