Hazy, with little head and very slight lacing . Nose is mostly sweet apple with a little floral hops. Taste is very smoky, more like burn sugary food, with underlying baked apple flavors, both notes linger. True to style medium body. Crisp, but still a bit of velvety, slightly tongue coating, mouthfeel.
This was described as an English IPA and might have hit that mark with a bit of oak instead of the smoky thing. The smoke was really overpowering in what would have otherwise been a rather nice ale.
