Sampled in a taster glass from draft at Whole Foods on August 21, 2019. Dark roasted malts provide notes of coffee, dark chocolate and tobacco. American hops give it a slight pine scent.

Canned late October 2017; drank 11/9/17 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A violent pour yielded a HUGE, noisy dark tan head; minimal lace.
Cream, fresh earth & dark roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Cream, fresh earth & dark roast coffee flavors; no booze heat.
A big, harsh brew; challenging but drinkable. Not sure I'll track it down again...

The kind of imperial stout that makes me wonder what its missing. It could stand to be a bit heavier, a bit more roast and a bit more dark malt bitterness. Wouldn't say no to one, but wouldn't go out of my way for one either.

Had on tap. Actually was surprised by the robust flavoring of this one. Heavy, smoky and not watery but still could use a little more substance in the body, a welcomed stout to the short fuse portfolio. Taste has heavy roasted malt, booze, dark chocolate, raisin, charred wood, coffee and smoke. Smell is dulled a little, but strongly features the roasted malt and booze.

Only my second from Short Fuse, I'm impressed.
This full, multi-flavored stout (with well-concealed alcohol) indicates Short Fuse is very accomplished for their young age.
Huge head Looks good on an opaque body; then gives me an endless medley of Smells of chocolate malt, coffee, tobacco and the same comes through in the Taste. Integrated. More viscous than a few comments that found this medium.
My only concern is that in late palate, many of the flavors fade and my tongue gets coated by a licorice-like substance. Others may like that, but it is not for me.
I went on their website and see that they have a pretty full menu (salads, pizza, sandwiches, appetizers, a bunch of Mac 'n Cheese renditions and a few entrees. Decent and very large taproom. I wish them so well that I may even try and visit (but I rarely go out anymore.)

Pours a very dark brown, leaving a one finger brown head that fades so a ring, minimal lacing. This pours like a can of Ten-tidy and comes in at the same abv.
Aroma of coffee, tobacco, chocolate, roasted malts and toffee. Taste matches the aroma, it has a sweet choclate finish but not overpowering.
I've had a few beers from them before, IMHO, this is their best by far.
