No canning date (released on 5/28/22, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 8/28/22
Pours a crystal-clear, sharp golden body capped with three fingers of tight, fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves a spotty cap, moderate, frothy collar, and heavy array of soapy, webby lacing caked along the walls of the glass.
Aroma highlights a robust breadiness with floral yeast underscoring tinges of peppercorn spice into honeyed straw before culminating with fresh accents of pumpernickel toast resounding over the back end of the bouquet.
Taste opens to a fresh, yeasty backdrop as soft florality leads into dry straw over the mid-palate, leaving touches of honey and wisps of lavender to accent brown bread crusts on the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a light body with a fuller, fluffy carbonation; deftly crisp over the mid-palate as a burgeoning 'snap' appeases an easy engagement of encroaching dryness through a level, largely clean finish.
Fervently biscuity with direct, floral subtleties, this Helles produces a consistently clean balance of pale maltiness and faint hops; crisp, airy, and subtly expressive, with a quaint bittersweetness rounding out an entirely accessible profile.
