Crowler from my buddy Damon A. Aka SourNomad.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy transparent stifled copper yellow color. Finger's worth of white foamy head swiftly glided off to leave no lacing.
The aroma seemed to be a sweet lemon cake-like yeasty breadiness throwing some Belgian spices in with a grassy sort of mix.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the entire blend. Light grassy to enabled sweet earthy and slightly Belgian-esque with a light hop spice conglomerating in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, seemed just a touch under with an adequate carbonation and a sturdy ABV (as projected by the brewer). Love the smooth yeasty stroll along my tongue.
Overall, I apologize to the brewery and Californians who have better access to this beer and can drink more than just a crowler to evaluate this beer better. If any of you don't feel this this is a Belgian IPA blame it on a Vermonter who doesn't know what he's talking about for a true 'Brut IPA.' If anything, I really liked this for me, but please don't ask me what a 'Brut IPA' is supposed to be.
