Desperate Times Brewery "Einbeck"

Notes: Interesting style. It's a clear deep golden/amber in color beneath a short head of white. Average head retention and lacing but that could be due to a dirty bar glass; I noticed that all of the beers I had including the weizen had limited head and lacing so there might be something going on. Mild malty aroma. The flavor is fuller with more grain and caramel, apple and soft sweet red berries, and a subtle tartness. The light acidity helps to balance it as it's not that bitter, 20 IBUs or so, and it manages to finish dry. Interesting beer. Medium bodied and crisp. Well worth trying.
