On-draught @ St. Elmo. $5 USD per 12oz pour.
9.8% ABV.
Overhopped as hell. Lacks any overt caramel, toffee, nutty, leathery, oaky, or pleasantly fruity flavours.
Amber malt. 2-row. Crystal. Malty sweetness, arresting hop bitterness, and that's it. Hop flavour is slightly herbal but altogether disinteresting.
At least it's not boozy. All things considered, it's a failed attempt at a barleywine, but it's not awful outside style conventions. Still the worst beer I've tried from St. Elmo thus far.
D+ (2.34) / NOT RECOMMENDED
