Tasted on tap at the brewery taproom in Austin, TX.
Attractive dark gold to light copper with excellent clarity. Light lacing, but no real head. Aromas and flavors very nice and appropriate for style. Could not detect the oaking. Maybe a little less dry in finish than a classic Oktoberfest Märzen, but that might be me looking too hard for flaws. It is an above average American example overall.

Clear deep gold pour, head excuses itself pretty quickly. Nose shows malt and wood.
Taste gives hearty bread, wood notes, little spice, some vanilla, sprinkling of floral. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is malty, lightly spicy, smooth. This leans more Festbier for me than Marzen, except for the woody nose.
