16oz can with no date, purchased at the brewery 10-6-20. Opened 10-8-20.
1 finger beige head, fine bead and good retention at 1/2".
Black with a faint brown-red edge at the bottom. Ample sticky lacing.
Coffee, earthy, chicory, brown sugar / burnt caramel...rich and malty roasted nose.
Dark, roasted malt, woodsy, licorice, mild coffee...lots of tasty goodness.
Medium body, lighter than appears...low-medium carbonation.
Great depth of flavor and drinkability at 5%.
Schwarz bier / black lager / dark kolsch…whatever it is, it tastes real good.
Very Good to Outstanding.
