Perfect for all-day sipping, Tupelo was brewed with wildflower honey from our buds at Good Flow right here in Austin. It’s just what you need for the weekend! The honey keeps the body light and pillowy while, in conjunction with the @prohops.de Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops, imparts a soft floral essence.

Second beer of the Texas trip in May/June of this year. Off the plane and right over to the first brewery.

Honey lager pours a color similar to the combination of beer and honey. Yellow gold honey color. Imagine that. Good clarity, 3/5" white head. The aroma is a light grain, hallertau pretty minimal here thankfully. Honey usually ferments out, but there was a very light sweetness to it.

The taste was easy enough going, instead of a lager yeast being pungent or honey or hops, it just glides along with an easy going light grain and honey aspect to it. Mouthfeel is similar, nothing overt or too challenging. This is a beer that shouldn't upset beer nerds nor be too aggro for people who aren't really the biggest beer fans. Carbonation was slightly lighter than your average lager on this one. Maybe it was normalized by the smooth honey and just seemed that way, the head and retention were good, so mixed results on that.

Decent enough beer, should please a variety of palates and personalities.
