Brewed with Best Smoked Malt, this smooth, toasty amber lager carries a gentle, clean smoke note without overwhelming the palate. Made alongside our friends at Leroy & Lewis, it’s built to pair beautifully with barbecue—especially brisket and burnt ends.

Tasted on tap at the brewery taproom in South Austin, TX.
Dark gold color with some orange. Great clarity and thin but long-lasting head. Crisp, clean smoke in the nose; similar to Schlenklara Rauchbier, but much more muted. Smoke is the biggest flavor component, but bready, lightly toasted malt and noble hops are just below it, grounding the beer as something like a Czech amber lager. Medium body, moderate carbonation and clean finish with low bitterness.
This is a clean lager that is much more interesting with the smoke. Good for sipping and pondering, or just simply savoring several pints of.
