We start with our Imperial Milk Stout - Fur Slipper; Silky smooth with notes of roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and toffee and then aged on Roasted Coconut. Mind blowing coconut infusion.

Type: 12-oz. can
Reviewed as: Milk / Sweet Stout
Glass: Dallas Cowboys tumbler glass
Price: $10.99 for a 6-pack
From: Goody Goody Liquor in The Colony, Texas
Purchased: Dec. 17, 2021
Consumed: Dec. 18, 2021
Misc.: Canned on June 13, 2021

Grabbed a 6-pack of this and two others on a work trip in the Frisco area. Was so happy to see this in a store as I had this once before at their brewery on Dec. 21, 2017 and gave it a 4.50 on Untappd. I wrote “Me out loud: Oh. Oh. Oh. This is amazing. Much better than Patsy (Barley Forge).” Had another one the night I bought it and dropped it to a 4.25, writing “OK, maybe not a 4.50 like I gave it four years ago but definitely 4.50adjace. So good.” Still not sold it wasn’t a 4.50. Time to figure it out. Untappd description was “We start with our Imperial Milk Stout - Fur Slipper; Silky smooth with notes of roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and toffee and then aged on Roasted Coconut. Mind blowing coconut infusion.”

Poured a pitch black color with two fingers of khaki tan frothy head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Below average watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)

Smelled hazelnut, dark milk chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla, coconut macaroon and light coffee malts. Not as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.50)

Tasted almost as good as the nose. So close but not quite a 4.50 for me. In order got hazelnut, dark milk chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla, coconut macaroon, toffee, chocolate milk and light cocoa. Can’t believe that this beer was 8.99 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.50)

Full body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Such a great beer. Need to pick up some more before I got. (Overall - 4.50)

Poured from the can into a snifter glass.

Deep walnut brown, quite shiny and nearly black body. A light tan and fine bubbled two finger head, which slowly settles to a good thin puck top as well.

Real nice aroma. Delicious hints of creamy coconut with dark chocolate, and a mix of other delicious senses. Charring ash and tobacco particularly hits large but also can overwhelm after a little exploring. More of the creamy light sweet tone even gives a good delicious vanilla also. Quite varied and unique.

Really nice palate. Malt has simple regular to light body in feel, but is expected for a standard milk stout. Unfortunately the delicious flavors don't seem to add much to the body but make for a great solid tasting experience. Delicious nutty coconut with a light vanilla sweetness on first sip. Slightly bubbly ash and roast flavors, mixing with a real nice dark chocolate angle of flavor. Finishes a little thin, but not in flavor, and even a little bit of prickly sensations on the tongue for some fun.

Very nicely crafted milk stout with some special twists. A real well made and delivered milker.

Great beer for the price! (Around $10 for a 6pack of 12oz cans). Very nice taste and feel! The high abv is not noticeable at all, but the buzz you'll get definitely is. This is my go to stout in Dallas!
Edited update 9/6/21: Just got silver medal in the US Open Beer Championship for coconut beers so I am correct!

Pours an opaque dark brown. Decent head of khaki foam.
Nose is. Tom of fresh coconut
Taste follows. Huge hit of fresh coconut followed by chocolate, coffee, vanilla.
Mouthfeel is thin for the style. Lingering vanilla, bittersweet chocolate.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a pitch black color with a one finger head of cream colored foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a good level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very sweet and delicious. It is heavy of a chocolate and coconut smell mixed with some aromas of coffee and vanilla. Along with these smells comes a little bit of toasted malt and a touch of caramel.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet chocolate and coconut flavor that has lots of crème and milk sweetness. Along with these taste comes flavors of a light caramel and coffee giving it a light latte smell. The coconut and the chocolate seem to ramp up as the taste moves on all while the roastiness gets a bit lighter. With a tiny bit of cola taste coming at the very end, one is left with a sweeter chocolate coconut candy like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is creamy and thick with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the style of the brew the feel is fantastic and makes for a nice flavorful media for the rich flavors.
Overall – This is one fantastic stout. It has a wonderful flavor and drinkability. A coconut chocolate bar in a glass. Very well done.

Very drinkable flavored beer. Other reviewers are right- great balance of coconut and dark malt with an awesome coconut aroma. In a good way, there is some oiliness to the beer from the coconut that gives it a unique mouthfeel.
