Found Sound began it's existence as a straight-up peach beer, showcasing Masumoto Family Farm's Sun Crest peaches. After a couple months of aging, the beer was calling out for something else; for more depth and something just slightly floral and herbal. I've always found good blueberries to go beyond jaminess and to have just a touch of grassy and woodsy notes. We dosed the barrels with quite a bit of blueberries we sourced from Murray Family Farms up in Bakersfield and allowed them to continue to ferment for a couple more months. The finished beer has a candy sweetness on the nose with some woodsy notes from the blueberries and a whole lot of bright fruity character with a vanilla character that found it's way in without the addition of any vanilla beans.

500 mL bottle into Jolly Pumpkin tulip
Beautiful ruby red grapefruit appearance, light bottle-fermented carbonation.
Peaches at the front of the aromas, touch of funk and plenty oak. Berries come through on the palate, although it’s hard to tell they’re blueberries rather than blackberries or raspberries. Super oaky, lightly tart, with a short clean finish, as a touch of earthy residuals linger.
Glad I popped this open now…refreshing in the SoCal heat.
