aster at brewery. Clear, bright golden, small foamy head. Light hoppy aroma. Taste brings straight hoppy flavors, backed up by some nice malts. Solid IPA and refreshing.

i thought all of the beer here was quite well made, but maybe lacking some innovation. even among their hoppy beers (of which there were more than a few pouring), there was some samey characteristics, similar hop bills or schedules, and a lot of the differences among them were subtleties, relative sweetness, alcohol presence, body, things like that, while the hop complexions were largely similar, at least to me. that said, this was probably the best of the ipa types we had in here, super fresh and built in the classic west coast style. i found a nice mix juicy and oily hop freshness, while also enjoying a relatively bitter bite in the finish. like the other reviewer here, i too suspect mosaic to be the lead dog here, although its certainly not acting in isolation. i get some fresh pineapple and some sweet lemon, as well as a little fresh pine and grassy vegetal notes to finish. pretty basic malt complexion, pale two row, a little honey sweetness but mostly dry, and providing a round medium body. well made and highly drinkable west coast ipa, nothing particularly unique about it, but its better than many of its peers. well done on the whole, despite lagging a little bit in carbonation...

Consumed on tap at the brewery. Pours a light hazy color with a fluffy head. Strong smell of mosaic hops. Excellent feel and taste. Highly recommended.
