its weird to me when a brewery doesnt bother to name any of its beers. in addition to it seeming like such a fun part of the creative process, there is also some inference, in my head or in reality, that is implying that by calling a beer the classic american pale, you are saying its the pale, the quintessential example of the style or something, which seems arrogant, i dont know, its just a turn off. the beer though is a turn on, dry and very hoppy and well made like all of the stuff we had in here was, but it sure isnt the best pale ale ive ever had, it wasnt even the best pale ale i had on my recent trip to california! i like it having some body though, some grassy hops with the more northwestern piney high alpha bittering ones, and a great freshness. carbonation is also on point, an as simple and standard as this beer is in many ways, its also just real drinkable and enjoyable without the intellectual piece i often crave but also occasionally find fatiguing. just basic pale, as the name suggests, a classic style done well, not as arrogant as my psychoanalysis of the lack of a name...
