from UnTappd and the brew's can--
Inspired by the Bavarian tradition. A malty dark lager with toasted malt and dark fruits.

This is only my second from East Brother Beer in their seven years in business. But I like them. They brew the classics and try to improve their brewing process. So it is the small innovations that count.
And Doppelbock is impressive and glad to add it and be the first review. Looks like a nice foam to me and largely sticks around. Smells are full-on malt. Only in the after-taste do hops balance the sweet malt. (But being a malt-head, I'm fine with that.) Finally, Feel is full.
Overall, I like how EBBC's style is to improve on the classic style slowly.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
