This devilishly smooth golden strong clocks in at 8.5% but drinks like 6.0%. Aroma and flavor of ripe pear balanced with white pepper. Effervescence from high carbonation lightens up the rich malt backbone.
Dæmon (pronounced DAY-mun) is a little obtuse. First off it's traditional to give this style of beer a devilish name - like Duvel/devil. But nerds also know this as a program that runs on its own doing all kinds of stuff. Ever get a bounced email from "mailer daemon"? That was sent from a daemon.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 7/29/21, had 12/5/21.
Pours a bright, golden yellow, fairly clear, with a one and a half inch foamy head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Aromas of Belgian yeast, malt, spices- coriander, for one, light black pepper, a light funk. Flavors of malt, coriander, Belgian yeast, other spices. Has a floral and herbal taste, with light hop bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a decent light to medium body, well carbonated.
A worthy example of the style. Seemed spicier than most, which was good.

Had on tap. Not sure I get the hate on this one. Yes it is new world but this is a perfectly good bpsa. Murky yellow body with a finger of white foam, tree rung lacing. Big belgian yeast giving off esters, bubblegum pear, white pepper, and lemon in the nose. Taste adds clove and sliced apple, but no pear. Feel is medium bodied, yeasty, somewhat sharp and dry with a hint of booze. This would be perfect on an early spring day

16 ounce can, canned 09/16/20, label says 8.5% ABV. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a Teku, the beer pours a somewhat hazy straw gold color with about an inch or so frothy white head that stuck around a long time. Lots of lacing, too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like clove, coriander, peppery spice, bready malt, and some pear. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some lemongrass and apple flavors noticeable. Also a bit of a bitter herbalness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of soft carbonation that makes it feel a bit creamy. Have to say this one aged well enough. I liked this Belgian-Style golden ale, worth picking up a can if you come across some.

From the 1 pt can in a snifter. This unique brew pours a chill
hazed pale straw color with a fantastic head of white foam that
does not hardly settles to a thick FAT layer with excellent lacing.
Nose of light candy malts, light white pepper, moderate lemon,
cracker, and subtle herbal notes. Flavors lightly surpass the
nose with a nice presentation of white pepper dashed candy malts,
cracker, herbal notes of coriander and touches of Thai basil, subtle
honey, and Belgian yeast notes. Nice mouth feel; medium light
body, medium light soft carbonation, and a medium dry to dry finish
with a nice dose of lemon grass with warmth.
Overall, nice and well presented.
Cheers

16oz, canned on 111919. 8.5% ABV. Thanks to Derek for giving me a can to try! Slightly hazy and very effervescent golden colored ale is capped by an ever-persistent white head. Earthy and spicy aroma with Belgian pale malt, orangey citrus, and lemongrass. Flavors are complex with notes of spicy yeast, apple, white grape, white pepper, pale malt, orange, lemongrass, spicy & earthy hops. Full body, high carbonation, alcohol is well concealed, finishes dry and a little too bitter in my opinion. This is a decent stab at a difficult style to perfect.

Impressive for a young brewery.
Unlike most youngster forays into the subtle Belgian tradition, Lo Rez gives Daemon an effective yeast to help balance the spicing and fruitiness typical to the style. The use of brewers sugar is balanced; not used to cover an ale's weaknesses with jacked-up alcohol... again, that many young brewers use as a shortcut to the many years of concentration required to learn the tradition. I do get a few fumes from Daemon in the after-taste. But by perfecting their yeast, Lo Rez can solve that problem.
This is only my second from Lo Rez, so I went on their website again. And I'm impressed by their depth. They also seem to have a cool taproom. Perhaps I should visit soon.
3/8/21 Glad I had Daemon again. I've edited the above and largely confirm the rating. This is a good BSPA. And it even helped along a dinner of leftovers... which usually only a saison can do. So I'm satisfied and want more from Lo Rez... and am keeping count over at UnTappd.

Deep saturated gold, initial burst of foam and ample lacing.
Estery and floral Belgian yeast aroma, mild bubblegum, white pepper, spiced apple.
Taste is clean and malty with more yeast driven flavors, apple, mellow spiciness, white pepper and light clove phenolics. Medium bodied with ample carbonation initially, though it seems to ebb away quickly. Overall it’s a pretty respectable local Duvel clone with a little more character.
Not sure what’s not to like here, unless people are unfamiliar with the style.
