After two of Lo Rez' Quad Cores (coconut and rum BA), I finally found the original recipe. It is much like Coconut, minus the coconut. (The rum-BA had uncontrolled phenols.)
Quad Core could Look like a champ if it had the protein swirls of an active yeast. With that yeast, Quad Core also might Smell more like the masters' dark fruit medleys, but certainly is a good start. Lo Rez' Taste trademark is balance... or at least shows it here. Core achieves it here: the brewers sugar is controlled, the hops kept in their place. This Quad is full in my mouth and I wish it could stay there a long time. Appreciated by old men like me, the 12 ounce portion is good... but the can? Not so much.
10/21/23 Found another can at Beermiscuous and I'm glad I found this Retired brew. If it is profitable enough to Lo Rez, bring it on again. The balance is a good sign of good recipe.
