12 ounce bottle, no dating I could find on it. Thanks to Brutaltruth and Darlene for this brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma but with the addition of some oak and charred/burnt malt flavors. I tend to pick up more barrel/vanilla than I do coffee in this brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy but is also highly carbonated. Luckily it doesn't hurt the drinkability too much. Overall I thought it was a decent enough stout, but would like to try this on tap at the brewery sometime. Glad I got to try this one!

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This rather nice little
stout pours a dark blackish brown with a thin cola highlight and a light
head of off white foam that subsides to a thin ring with spotty lacing.
Nose of light bakers cocoa, dark roasted coffee, and subtle barrel
notes of bourbon that are very light with hints of vanilla. Flavors
surpass the nose with mild vanilla and bourbon over a heavy coffee
note doused in bakers cocoa and mellowed with oak. Decent mouth feel
which leans pretty much towards the English side of stouts----full body,
light carbonation, lightly coating, smooth, and finishing a touch dry.

Overall, a solid brew. It is not as robust as some of their other works,
but this one is solid.

Cheers

Had it at the brewery. Pours pitch dark with a thin head. Still easy to drink. With good coffee flavor, maybe a hint too much. Overall, very enjoyable!
