Single bottle from the brewery.
Pitch black with a thin brown head, dissipating to a thin layer with a thicker ring around the glass.
Bourbon smell with a hint of smoke. Taste follows the nose. Distinctive bourbon taste with dark chocolate and a slight smoky finish. Very nice!

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a
coal black with thin dark tea highlights and a nice head of tan foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some
subtle lacing. Nose of bourbon, smoke, char, oak, light vanilla,
cocoa, and a touch of black strap. Flavors follow the nose with
black strap, anise, cocoa, bourbon, char, definite smoke, and
subtle coffee. Nice mouth feel; full body, lightly slick, smooth,
slight carbonation, and a moderately dry and smoky finish.
Overall, a solid brew from one of my favorite breweries!
Cheers!

This beer is incredible in my opinion. I picked it up as a single at my local bottle shop.
I'm not very good at picking up on aromas or distinct flavors but this beer is delicious. Bourbon notes, oak aroma. Not a huge boozy back end and the bottle does not list abv but it's potent.
Very well done.
