From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This fantastic amber pours a
rich red tinged amber with a moderate head of white foam that settles to a
thin ring, faint clumping layer, and shows light lacing. Nose of bourbon,
vanilla, light oak, caramel malts, and moderately strong booze. Flavors
pack the punch and show a deft of brewing for the style with mellow
bourbon, vanilla, oak, lightly astringent booze, caramel, subtle floral
notes, faint tobacco, and light brown sugars. Nice mouth feel; medium
body, smooth as is all their brews, light subtly prickly carbonation, and
a sweet bourbon finish.
Not cloying, smooth as silk, and one of the best darn amber brews
I have ever had, this one rocks!
Cheers to the nice lady who answered the phone when I asked on the
name and ABV since it was not on any other site!
