At the brewery in a snifter.
The barrel aged note in a Doppelbock does not work for me

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little bock pours a clear mahogany
with a nice head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin swirling layer,
and sport some nice light lacing. Nose of brown sugar, spicy rye whiskey, oak,
vanilla, and subtle peach hints. Flavors hit the mark with spicy rye whiskey
up front, oak, vanilla, subtle peach brandy hints, and brown sugars. Mouthfeel
is medium, smooth, warming, light carbonation, and a medium dry whiskey
fueled finish.
Overall----again, more excellence from a great little brewery!
Cheers
