12 ounce can, looks like the packaging date stamped on the bottom is 01/08/24. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. There's a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like vanilla, bourbon, smoke, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, cherry and burnt/charred malt flavors. Gets smokier tasting as the brew warms, and has a good amount of barrel character. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

I love wooden Cask they have very affordable bourbon and wood aged high octane beers. Smell had me worried a bit almost a Dark Fruit Sour cherry vibe with very little chocolate smoke smells like sour mash? Taste isn't much better very boozy almost reminiscent of Jack Daniels but i'm not getting much else no smoke flavor as described no balancing sweetness just hard booze bourbon and woody finish. Still can't tell if this is infected or just really harsh being almost 13% but I wouldn't recommend it to be honest.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. One of the Valentine beers this year. This
beefy monster pours a deep coal black with a moderate head of khaki foam that
settles to a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some light lacing. Nose of
heavy campfire smoke, oak, bourbon, char, and dark malts. Flavors open up
very nice with warmth showing a depth of flavors including, char, roast, heavy
smoke, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, and subtle coffee dashed with
dark berry hints. Mouth feel is full, light carbonation, smooth, rich,
warming, lightly coating, and finishing medium dry and smoked.

Overall, I am NO fan of smoked brews, but this one is nicely
balanced. A solid addition to a great brewers profile!

Cheers
