Canned on: ????? (All the ink on the bottom of the can is smeared.)

A - Black pour with thin toffee colored lacing.

S - Chocolate malt base is light with delicate coffee aroma with green Bourbon and no vanilla. Very light underlying char.

T - Underlying coffee char malt base with young Bourbon quality mixed in and some residual vanilla buried deep down.

M - Big medium body that's silky and some warming in the back of the throat.

O - OK, but unrefined and rough around the edges.

12 ounce can, dating is pretty smudged so I have no idea what it says. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one, since he reviewed this a while back I figure it's got some age on it assuming he got this can for me at the same time unless it's a newer batch. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, I think the coffee stands out and there's also some vanilla, roasted malt, dark chocolate and bourbon too. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak and burnt/charred malt flavors. Nice amount of barrel character here. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, thinking in this case the age has helped this brew. Worth trying if you come across some!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a
dark blackish brown with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to
thin ring with decent legs. Nose of astringent bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark
chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Flavors surpass the nose with more
noticeable coffee, strong boozy bourbon, rich oak, mellow vanilla, dark
chocolate, and dark roasted goodness. Mouth feel is medium full
leaning towards full, smooth, lightly coating, warming, and finishing
lightly dry and boozy.

Overall, a solid brew from a great little brewery!

Cheers
