12 ounce can, dating is smudged but looks like it says packaged on 01/20/25 stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to my buddy Denis for picking this one up for me when visiting the Boone County Distillery! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a little while. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, dark chocolate, cherries, bourbon and some oak. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bready flavors. All the flavors are well balanced to me, with no one flavor overpowering the others. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's smooth and creamy with a good amount of soft carbonation. Thought this was a good overall barrel aged stout, worth trying if you get the chance!

Poured from a 12 oz can into a New Belgium Globe Glass
The beer pours completely black with no visible highlights, and about one fingers worth of tight tan head that recedes quickly leaving behind a small crown, and virtually no lacing.
The aroma is bourbon barrel, chocolate, and cherry with notes of caramel, and roasted malts.
The flavor is dark chocolate, roasted malts, and barrel character. There is a fair amount of cherry in there, that teeters on being slightly medicinal. There is a nice booziness. Full bodied, with a mild carbonation.
This beer is quite good, though the cherry at times can be a bit artificial/medicinal
