This is a Lark interpretation of a traditional Irish Red. Seven Weyermann Malts perfectly blended to enhance flavors and aromas of rich toffee, creamy caramel, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee. Brewed with EKG and Saaz hops, fermented with a traditional Irish yeast, and lightly carbonated true to tradition. Welcome to Belfast Down.

On tap at the brewery. Cola colored pour, with reddish orange highlights and a nice light-tan head. This has a lot of up-front bitterness, with notes of caramel, hints of coffee, and a herbal and floral overtone. Medium bodied, with a lingering oaky sourness on the finish. Overall, not bad.

Medium dark orange, with some auburn, for the look. Slight woody note to the medium dark roast malt, for the aroma. Rather light tasting, slightly wooden and off-dry, medium dark toasted malt, with a little spice note.
