This time of year just does something to us, you know?
Inspired by the basic necessities of fall, By No Means Basic focuses on the flavors and aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Yellow Table Farms provided their Northern Georgia Candy Roaster squash; roasted before it met the grains in the mash, imparting its pumpkin-like love into the core of this seasonal batch.

On tap at the brewery. Rich caramel-colored pour, with a light tan head that left a ton of gorgeous lacing as it settled. Lots of "pumpkin spice" (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg) on the nose and palate. Sweetness is understated, as is bitterness. Pleasant, slightly creamy mouthfeel, no doubt from the roasted squash used in the brewing process. Overall, an outstanding beer that is a pleasure to drink.
