a unique combination here, not sure i have seen peaches and apples together in a beer before, especially a sour like this. it might have been my least favorite beer while at barn town, but thats more a testament to how good the others were, not how weak this one was. i didnt love their sours, all quick and lactic, clean enough but lacking any real bacterial character at all. the fruit here is nice though, autumnal for sure, and the acidity is unique to my tastes buds with the fruit. its murky and flat looking from the tap, this beer should be lively with carbonation but really is quite still, a major bummer, but the flavors are nice with the fruit and the light wheat malt, simple but well proportioned. this would be good not as a sour too, like just a simple blonde or pale ale with apples and peaches, they work great together, more fall than spring though to me. tart but not overly sour, lemony from the lacto, lightly sweaty, dry for how fruity it is, white wine notes in the finish. not far away from being a lot better than it is, im sure the sours in here will improve over time...
