Tasted at the Brewery Jan 29th 2021. Outstanding beer no head had three 8 oz pours the smell is increadable and loses the pancake smell and inch down but the blueberry smell stays throughout. The taste is a very good from first sip to the aftertaste just a great Imperial stout.
I read the other review from last years and this is a different animal. Track it down if you are anywhere near this and like the style.

Pastry stout bottle purchased onsite in mid-January. Poured it into a pint glass then a wine glass the next day after saving with a bottle stopper.
A: Moderate pour yields tragically minimal head both times. Pitch black viscous liquid.
S: reconstituted instant blueberry pancake mix. Not the most desirable flavor in the annals of my mind, but nailed it.
T: cloying and weirdly spiced. This tastes like raw blueberry pancake dough. Lacks the depth of flavor of cooked pancakes. Would be good to have some tartness to mimic the buttermilk aspect, and maybe some biscuit notes for the breadiness. Too sweet and too much of a one-trick-pony.
M: cloying, thick, a bit artificial
O: meh. I wish I had ordered a sample and not purchased the pricy bottle.
