The smell on this one is so captivating! I wish there was a nice pillowy head to top it all off and really show off those aromas. Hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Reminds me of a fancy chocolate-shop spread we had on Valentines Day.
Flavor doesn’t follow through with all the nose promised. Hazelnut and cream and chocolate are dominant. Quite tasty up front, slightly warm middle but with a little cardboard edge at the end. 2 steps forward, one step back.
That weirdness at the end of the flavor profile brings down the pleasantness of the mouthfeel too, but still silky and nicely warm. The heat of 12.12% is very well hidden.
Very likeable, I would like to be sharing this with someone right now, but I’ll settle for my bottle stopper that keeps it carbonated and enjoy it again in a night or two.
