I love the look of this one. A step hazier than standard IPA chill haze, but not murky. Nice retention on white head. Color of ripe mango flesh. Smell is papaya, some cattiness, guava, and orange. Flavor is major orange guava. So fruit forward it is shocking; this might be the most fruit-forward non-fruited beer I’ve had. Mouthfeel stops just short of cloyingly sweet. Thank goodness. After the first step I was like Walter in THe Big Lebowski, “Over the Line!”, but the second and later sips were more like Smoky, “Yeah, but it wasn’t over!” This one could have a touch more bitterness to balance the sweetness out in the aftertaste. As long as it didn’t mess with the fruitiness up front! Superb. Top 3 from Barn Town so far.
