5x dry-hopped?! What is this, the great IBU battles of 2005-2007? I expected a tongue melter, but this one was actually quite drinkable! Haze, golden straw SRM, and good head retention put the appearance at darn near perfect. Smell is prickly and piney and all hops. Flavor is mostly hops, in a Toppling Goliath-esque NEIPA mixed with West Coast way. Feel is fairly syrupy, but not warm at all. This is one of the better IPAs I’ve had that is above 7.0 ABV in the last 5 years. Quite enjoyable and I prefer mine below 6.5 nowadays.
