Brought back by popular demand this golden Lager was Dortmund’s rendition of Pilsner. Export Dortmunder falls between Pilsner and Golden in color, ABV, malt and hops. More malt fullness and higher ABV than Pilsner but not as much hop flavor & aroma. We also mimic the hard water of Dortmund which accentuates the hop bitterness & gives this lager a crisp, dry finish!

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the snifter. Inviting aroma of cider and hot malt in the brew kettle. This tastes like a diluted Bock beer to me. It’s quite sweet and has that distinctive resiny flavor. Distinct fruity taste like apples. Spritzy and mouth-filling with a light body with creamy carbonation. Rather bitter aftertaste is not so pleasant with the sugar. Still, it’s an interesting and flavorful Lager. But an excellent brewery like this should know they have nothing to gain from a collaboration with Structures. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

12oz can served in a stemless rastal. Canned Nov 13 2025. Bought it a few weeks ago at Beer Junction.
Pours crystal clear dark yellow, dense creamy head, lots of active carbonation. Smell is lemon zest and biscuits, definite lager yeast, some grass and earthiness.
Taste is leaning into the lager funk and earthiness, strong grain with almost a spicy character. Lemon rind seems to be present.
Mouthfeel is very light, very crisp, very crispy. Overall, very good but not quite great lager, in my opinion.

On tap at P-nut.
A clear light orange with a thin white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose is soft, creamy, bitter and bready. Honey, dough, relatively reserved for the style but ao clean, so flawless. The palate opens soft, creamy and doughy with a cream of wheat like flavor, subtle and restrained tempered by a faint hop bitterness, clean, minty and earthy. There's a light mineral character. Drying with a delicate sweetness on the finish, there's a mild bitterness present. Less sweet than other export lagers, but so wonderfully executed.

On tap at Growler Guys SE yesterday.
The beer pours a striking solid gold color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is attractive as well, as I pick up considerable honey, bread dough and biscuit. There's also something of a very light underlying clove aroma as well that is attractive, and blends in well with the overall aroma profile. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this excellent beer, and I was impressed that it managed to come across as rich and very clean on the finish as well. Mouthfeel felt like it was medium bodied to full, and the finish was long and clean, with a hint of bitterness on the end. Alcohol was a reasonable 5.8% according to the menu board, and the beer was so good, I ended up bringing a growler home to watch the listless Timbers play soccer on the tele.
Not that I'm surprised, but this is just an excellent lager from the folks at Chuckanut.

At OBF.
A - Pours a brilliant golden with 2 fingers white head. Dissipates moderately slow, leaving slight lacing, with moderate retention.
S - Pilsener, breadiness, and a hint of wheat.
T - Pilsener, honey, some nectar esters, bittering hops, and light wheat.
M - Full-bodied, well-balanced. Very clean and again, well-balanced.
D - Great overall. Not a very popular style among american beer-drinkers, but fared very well in my opinion. Tasty, great for mowing the lawn or relaxing on the deck.

Served in straight pint glass at the brewery. Poured a clean, clear yellow with a thin head that left some lacing.
A very pleasant, grainy aroma greets the nose. The flavors are very good, a full grain taste that is well balanced and smooth with no lingering aftertaste.
The body was nice and smooth, full without being thick or heavy. Drinkability rates high, this very good beer will make an excellent companion, and having several is certainly easy. Worth seeking out.
