Chuckanut Italian Style Pilsner highlights the up and coming new style of Pilsner originated with Tipopils from Birrificio Italiano in Italy. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati. In typical Italian fashion, the brewers along the Italian-German Border pushed their Pilsner to the next level! Dry hopping with noble hops while still maintaining its elegance and German roots. This Spalter Select hop forward love letter to Italy is disappearing fast as the brewers just can’t get enough of it! This is a German Pilsner on steroids! A highly drinkable lager with huge notes of spicy and herbal hops.

Can from P.Nut
Clear straw yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is excellent, bright, clean, snappy with the hop burst just lush and gorgeous, floral, lemony, minty and mildly bitter. Clean, snappy malt. The palate opens moderately hoppy, clean, floral, mildly resiny. Drying, clean, bitter finish. Excellent.

12oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. Can is dated 12-17-25. Bought it a couple days ago at Chuck's Hop Shop Seward Park.
Pours clear bright yellow, medium sized head with a short lifetime. Moderate active carbonation.
Taste is moderate bread, more yeast than I expected. Lemon zest, no real pine but something resinous, though light.
Mouthfeel is very light, soft, clean. Good beer.

This is the 2025 edition. Lovely aromatics of green fields, with a hint of lemon, pine, and oregano. Mouthfeel and first impression, in a word: crisp. Pleasant gentle bite of the european hops. Modest malty underpinnings. This is a better than average craft Lager whatever name you want to put on it. Tangy, moderately bitter finish, and clean aftertaste. Overall, it has a very light body and is on the bitter side but highly quaffable and full of flavor. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Clear golden body, nice two finger head. Crisp grainy bready malt, floral bitterness, quite herbal and just a touch of citrus. More crisp freshly baked bread. Medium lighter bodied, good carbonation, crispy and delicious. Nice medium floral hop bite.

16.9oz bottle (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a bright, clean, sparkling clear light gold color with over an inch of white head that had good retention and light-moderate lacing.
Soft, but bright, earthy hops had the front of the nose with pleasant grains in the background.
Very much the same on the tongue, with the malts being a bit bolder, and the hops a bit brighter. Just enough gentle bitterness on the finish to keep things interesting.
The body was light, clean, crisp, carried good carb, and had a nicely dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, you could easily knock back a few of these.
Overall, another very fine brew from the folks at C-nut. Certainly worth your time if you see it.
