A slightly yellow foam holds five inches before slowly turning rocky and settling. The beer is golden straw with ample columns of tiny carbonation. Bit islands of lace form above the dense, foggy Saison within this PBGC Pub tulip glass.
The aroma opens with a strong farmhouse funk and lots of horse blanket nuances. Earthy fruit and herbs follow. This beer is more complex than it sounds, with notes of orange, lemon and pear.
While balanced between pillars of bitterness, sweetness and tartness, all are relatively delicate. Generally, the flavor follows the nose. A long, mild finish can be expected.
The body is medium to full with a nylon texture. Alcohol is above expectation. There is a light acidity, which is accentuated by very high effervescence.
One can enjoy this beer while relaxing or engaging in casual conversation with friends. It helped me unwind after a long day.
