Blind beer review with bottle courtesy of jhavs
A: After a quick pour, a 3-finger white foam head developed. It took its time to fade away and left behind minimal lacing on the glass
A: Picked up scents of what I think is a wine barrel aging of sorts and a citrus scent of lemon
T: It is a very smooth, easy to drink beer. The aromas that I picked up translate to the taste as well; a mild taste of wine barrel and citrus.
M: I pick up a really minimal amount of carbonation
O: This is a really smooth drinking beer. I like the subtle nuances of the wine notes and would find this as a beer I'd drink while fishing or cruising at the beach. Due to my very small experience with HF beers, I don't think I could guess.

Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a pale burnt yet bright orange color with a sturdy finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Slight lace here and there.
The aroma had a bright sweet to sour lemon to lime sort of meshing following through with some driftwood/oak barrel, light pine, white pear, lemongrass, and then the herbal to floral qualities of the yarrow but also seemed to pull in a little bit of heather and flowing on into the mix of things.
The flavor was moderately sweet and pulled in a gentle sour with a fair herbal sweetness. All came together in the aftertaste which was even less sour and more herbal.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt somewhat low, but came off good to me. Was it the yarrow mellowing how the carbonation was felt? Not sure. But it felt great along my tongue with no pucker whatsoever. Nothing cloying either.
Overall, really nice oak barrel aged saison coming across like an American Wild ale. Would definitely love to have again.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a slightly hazy golden body with some lacing. Nose of slight funk, citrus, and (I'm guessing here) yarrow and oats? Taste of citrus (lemon/lime) and very nice feel with a crisp, dry finish that is so nice and refreshing. Overall another fine offering from Greensboro Bend, VT. Cheers!
