First Wunderkammer I've had in a while and my first fruited beer from Vasilios. Always a pleasure to try one of his offerings. Pours a plum-hued body with decent clarity and a finger of off-white head with moderate pour. Some retention and lacing. Aromas are jammy raspberry/blackberry with some wheat tartness and funk coming through. Flavors are a bit tart, perhaps suggesting some refermentation in the bottle, but are rounded out by a bretty funkiness and aspirin-like bitterness. The fruit is there but bone dry. Crisp and effervescent. Great companion to a summer meal outdoors.

Poured from the 2022 dated, 500 ml bottle into the test glass
A - Ruby colored backdrop, with a slightly pink shaded frothy cap. The cap seems everlasting.
S - As advertised red raspberry, a bit stronger than the blackberry, mixed culture adds complexity with some peppery notes
possibly helped by he use of some rye.
T - Both the fruits are in balance, again a slight peppery thread in there. All the flavors ride on a carpet of slighty acidic funk
M - Start is tart, mid rounds out a bit, the carbonation adds a rounding, fluffy element. Finish is fruity and ashen dry.
O - An absolute delight, fruit forward, with excellent texture.

Mixed culture taste but a tad thicker than the style. Bottle pour at Mondiale 2023. Worth trying if you can find fresh. Haven't heard much from these guys since.

500 ml. bottle.
Brewed March 2022.
Bottled Nov 2022.
Released early last week.
Gentle to moderate pour yields a nearly one inch very light pink head
over a dark pink, almost red (maybe magenta?) head with sticky lacing.
Very fruity nose of raspberry and cherry, with a bit less cherry.
Taste mirrors nose closely with a fairly robust sourness, but still very tasty indeed.
Very nice mouthfeel and well carbonated.
Overall, yet another Wunderkammer offering to be on the lookout for!
Cheers!
