16 ounce can in a snifter.
Black crude oil color with a frothy and big head, dark tan. No retention, light lacing.
Aromas are sweet coffee, dark chocolate, and honey.
Coffee flavor, some chocolate, noticeably sweet.
Light body, sweet black coffee. A little hop kick works in with the cocoa.
Aromas did not develop as it warmed, and it sat out before opening and pouring. Just ok.

Was given this recently by my cousin as I never had it before and wasn't accustomed to Stouts from Icaraus. This almost felt more like a Porter than a Stout because of it's low alcoholic content and slightly roasted mouthfeel, as the coffee only reinforced the ambiguity that I felt while drinking this.
This had a dark pour to it with a voluminous of tan head that was full of bubbles and slow to settle down. The lacing left behind wasn't bad although the thick sheets that were left on the side of my pint glass after each sip slid down, for the most part. Lots of coffee, with a bit of dark fruit and cherry, roasted malt, brown sugar, and molasses underneath that as the taste was a bit thinner and drier than I expected. The hops were quite earthy and reminiscent of a Pale Ale from the left coast, as the Amarillo and Cascade were readily apparent and complementary to the coffee bean undertone that this had. Only tasted a bit of bitter chocolate and the honey was felt on my lips and in the aftertaste over than in the beer itself, as the carbonation was on the lesser side here.
The same could be said for the booze as I never tasted the alcohol and hardly felt it by the time I finished this off. Canned on 1/26 with "YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND IN ME" written underneath that, this wasn't a bad beer as much as it was just an easygoing take on the style. Plenty was going on here but somehow, it all worked together and worked out in the end as this was an appropriate brew for these warming days of early spring!

Poured into a pint glass, let it warm for 10 minutes
A: Pours inky black with brown head nice foam that dissipates but leaves a ring
S: strong coffee and dark chocolate The smell is a prelude to a great sip
T: complex. Dark chocolate. Espresso. Not getting the honey but there’s a sweetness I cannot define so that may be it. Really like this and I’m not a typical stout guy
O: great nightcap. Like drinking a coffee ice cream. Really like this!

A couple quick notes before I revisit and write a full review.
Let it warm. Big coffee aroma and flavor on this beer. Hints of funky sweetness on the nose. The honey?

Pours like a dark caramel color, medium carbonation and a nice bitter coffee flavor.
