DATE: March 22, 2019... OCCASION: our first showing happens tomorrow--and the new door fixtures have been added... GLASSWARE: beautiful brown webbing spawns along the two-fingered head that thickens to a reasonable lactic foam... its body--nothing to imagine, befitting its style... this looks intimidating... thick vanilla milkshake weds with light cocoa bean, burnt toffee, brown sugar, sweet caramel, and a bit of booziness... this really smells like a bakery you want to be in... the first sip is definitely boozy, warm and powerful--befitting a beer almost 11% in ABV... a lasting, vibrant aftertaste coats the throat and leaves a lasting warmth... creamy as well.... chocolate, burnt oat malts, toffee, brown sugar sweetness, vanilla, some cola, and hint of coffee bean... this one is more mellow than expected, yet becomes a great nightcap with only half the grunt gone... my first Icarus is a memorable one...
