An absolutely outstanding Dessert Style Russian Imperial Stout - 14.5 abv
Poured cold into a large tulip glass it only had a minimal head , however a nice rich color and some nice richness . Really delicious sipper , that will become one of my new favs when it is available as a Winter warmer -
Very sweet , so if that’s not your thing then you should pass - I would never drink more than one in a session , but it mixed nicely with my neat bourbon as I rotated the flavors .
I may have to see if I can get these to cellar a few as it was really exceptional in my opinion .
Highly recommended ❤️ Cheers

Canned 4/7 enjoyed 4/25
Pours black/brown with a medium tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is mostly roasted coffee and coconut. Taste is an interesting mix of coffee, coconut and the nutty/fatty notes of the macadamia nuts. I'm not getting the honey sweetness, but it's not overly bitter. Feel is good, a bit thin for an RIS, but still reasonably thick and rich. Overall, it's a decent Russian Imperial Stout that's worth a try.

Canned on 9/1/2020. Poured into a snifter. It pours a very dark walnut, approaching black, with large, frothy, dark khaki head and thick lacing. An attractive pour. On the nose there is roasted malt, buttery chocolate, and a whiff of vanilla. The taste is fantastic! It opens with dark chocolate and freshly-brewed coffee then segues into bitter char and burnt nuts with just a hint of caramel. It's nicely roasty. As it warms there are also notes of black cherry and coconut. The mouth feel is fantastic; it's thick and chewy - almost syrupy, in a good way. The carbonation is lite and the 14.5% ABV is unmistakable. This has one of the best stout mouth feels I've experienced. Overall, AK47 is an exquisite Russian Imperial Stout; I think it's the best that Icarus brews. I like it better than Kalashnikov and Kalashnikoffee.

Crowler to snifter. Fantasy Football Draft.
Thick dark black. Large creamy tan head. Excellent retention.
Nose is a little underwhelming. Not bad, just expected it to be a little stronger in that area. Light cocoa, malt, coffee.
Super thick and fudgy. Dark chocolate, roasted malt. Mildly sweet, but lots of roastiness.
High ABV is apparent, but very smooth texture makes for easy enjoyable sipping.
Very good stout.
