Honey-colored pour with a fluffy, lacing and long-lasting white head. The nose is bread and caramel. Taste follows with a mild hop bite. In fact, mild is the key word with this Bitter Ale, made with exclusively Euro ingredients. It captures the subtleties of British brewing very well.

16 oz can. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of floral hops, ripe fruit and caramel malt. Body is full and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and almost dry. Very good brew.

Canned on 6/29/2021. Poured into an English pint glass. It pours a hazy, honey-amber color with a creamy, egg white head and lacing. On the nose there is biscuit, caramel, and earthy nuts. The taste opens with toasted bread, caramel, burnt nuts, earthy char, and a hint of spice. The bitterness more than balances the initial sweetness. It's mild and easy to drink. The mouth feel is relatively thick and creamy with modest carbonation, and the 5.2% ABV allows for very easy drinking. Overall, Bitterish Invasion is a very nice locally-brewed ESB. I would not hesitate to drink it again.

A flavorful ESB.
Pours amber with almost no head. Aroma is mild biscuit. Flavor is malty, biscuit and some hop bitterness. There's a lot going on in here for a 5.2%. Feel is good, in line with the style. Overall it is flavorful and drinkable.

a: murky burnt caramel color with some light brown notes. 2 finger, frothy, off-white head
s: sweet caramel and sweet grains. a touch of cardboard and some sweet dark prunes. some grass along with a generic wood note. more caramel sweetness, like caramel candy, at the end
t: sweet grains, grass, and lots of caramel at the front. a bit of prune and some sweet grass. finish has a nice crisp crackery backbone with a touch more caramel. a little bit of a yeasty flavor at the end here that is slightly off-putting, just a touch too much yeast
m: solid medium mouthfeel, with some pretty strong carbonation. could use just a touch less carbonation
o: an alright offering for an ESB. as mentioned above, there is a bit too much yeast in the flavor here for me. malt sweetness is good. still quite drinkable though. average I'd say
