Poured into narrow imperial pint glass: color is black, head is tan with frothy head that presents one finger thick, head lingers with solid top and leaves spotty lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is roasted malt, moderate roast coffee, light sweet malt, earthy hops.

Taste is moderate roast, light sweetness, coffee, sweet backing malts, earth and grassed hops.

Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, softened linger feel from sweetness.

Overall a pleasant stronger Irish stout with moderate sweetness backing the bitter roast.

This was another beer that I picked up at Joe Canal's in Woodbridge a while back, as I never had it before. Love Icarus because of their IPA's, but this was a quality beer that was a good example of it's style and oh-so-easy to enjoy!

Lots of coffee here - from the pour, consistency, aroma, and taste. Thankfully, this had a lot more going on than that as it was quite malty in the nose as this felt roasted and dry at the same time. Nicely-defined rings of lacing remained along the bottom half of my pint glass a the suds were just as tan as the head. Oats, cream, and faint, earthy hops came through in the taste as this was full-bodied, smooth, and a bit cloying in the back. This felt like coffee, with the creamer, but minus the sugar as it was not that sweet and just slick enough on my teeth to leave me wanting another cup - er, can...

Dated 1/31/23 on the bottom of the can with "WHERE IS YOURS?" written above it, this held up well and was fine as a morning brew, without being brewed here. Plenty smooth all-around, as I'd have this again if offered one!

A coffee dry export stout. Aroma and taste are coffee forward but not aggressive bitter. Smooth feel and finish. A good one.

Deep brown to black pour, authentic Irish style stout. Touch of coffee in the flavor, but it is primarily a roasty quality that comes through in a very sustained, robust way. Nice hop balance against the stout's heavy malt presence. All in all, a very nice slightly Americanized knockoff of the great Irish stouts.
