Canned on 11/2/22; consumed on 12/3/22
Pours a turbid, milky sunflower-gold body capped with two fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; solid head retention yields a half-finger of cap, moderate, frothy collar, and myriad webby/spotty lacing strewn comprehensively across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of cantaloupe meet salted lemon peel and musty clementine, with the touch of salinity pairing well with dank resins and floral papaya developing against boggy citrus overtones over time.
Taste offers vinous white grape and orange upfront, leaving grapefruit peel accenting twangy pineapple juice over the mid-palate as grassy resins feed into a boggy dank on the back end and creamy mango lingers through the swallow.
Mouthfeel brings a medium body and moderate carbonation, leaving a chalky prickle carrying a steady grit through the mid-palate as a subtle bittering eases to a faded, juicy twang on the finish.
Adept touches of salinity stimulate the oated base of weighty hope texture with effective nuance, a welcome and unique element to a heavier NEIPA already rife with resinous diversity.
