Canned on 5/4/22; consumed on 5/21/22
Pours a turbid, near-milky straw-gold body capped with three fingers of dense, fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves a finger of creamy cap, a frothy, thin collar, and taut layers of webby soapy lacing caked to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of subtle white peach build steadily to a rounded, boggy stank weighing along the bouquet; underripe papaya and shreds of grapefruit overscore a bready malt backing, while lingering impressions of resinous white grape and earthy mango peel close.
Taste opens to resinous lime with a bready malt undertone, with grapefruit and grassy notes quietly harmonizing into a burgeoning, dank white grape mid-palate; peach skins into the back end see lighter, earthier papaya on the finish with a creamy mango lassi exhale.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body with moderate carbonation, leaving glossy resins building to a juicy peak; resoundingly creamy over the mid-palate, a wispy grit steadily weighs into the back end with a minor prickle, while a mild twang shines through an otherwise clean finish.
Lush and casually deep, a deceptively robust and bready malt platform project refined, sweaty resins to inform a greater tropical fruit presence; a highly competent and well-rounded NEIPA worthy of the Electric and Fidens namesakes.
