On-tap 10/26/07 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light reddish brown color, with a short foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of Belgian yeast, dark fruit and light malts.
T: The taste is tart and sweet with flavors of cherries and Belgian yeast. There’s a decent malt character and mild hops presence for a nice balance. The after-taste is slightly sour.
M: Smooth and very crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, slightly sticky finish.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not very filling, decent kick, good representation of style, I didn’t really like the first beer that I had in this style so my expectations weren’t very high. However, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this beer.
