One of three! saisons on tap tonight at the brewpub. Very drinkable, spry spicy cask-like. Lemon, peppery. Aroma of citrus, yeast, pepper. Carbonation right there. Hazy lemon colour, nice creamy head, lacey.Saaz hops worked in nicely. Great summer choice.

Poured a hazy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light yeast ester and a lemony zest.
The taste consisted of a grainy malt, light honey sweetness, peppery hop, esters and a lemon zest.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a nicely made saison.

Flip-top growler filled at the brewpub.
First imperial pint pours with a 1/2" white head, over the totally cloudy golden amber brew. Head dwindles gradually, with plenty of sticky lasting lace. Aroma is wheat, spices and citrus. Taste begins with characteristic wheat flavors, then Saaz kicks in on the middle, and the close finds the flavors melding together for a crisp close. Mouthfeel is smooth, and drinkability is very easy. Citrus gives it a thirst-quench quality for me that makes me want to come back.

Reviewed on 8/21/2009. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of lots of spices, clove, and wheat. Flavor of light malts, yeast, spicy hops, sweet apple, and pear. Enjoyable and drinkable, but it was nothing special.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a hazy golden color. There was almost no white head on it, and it left no lacing. The aroma is nice. Spicy, yeasty, earthy and a bit of a tart fruit nose to it. Faint fruits in the taste, and they are slightly tart and not sweet at all. A dry finish. Nice!
