Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a hazy, dark golden color. There was almost no head and no lacing. The aroma is nice. A little yeasty and breadiness to the nose. Some flowery notes, as well as some faint fruits. The taste is very good. Medium bodied. Malts, some spice and pepper as well as floral tastes are in there. A bit yeasty and bready. Very nice!

Served on-tap on 11/12/10 at Willimantic Brewing Co.
A: Dark, copper amber color with a thin, creamy head of white foam. Carbonation decent and clarity was good.
S: Flowery, fruity malt esters, honey and a zesty, Belgian yeasty aroma. Brushes of floral and herbal hops as well.
T: Nice blend of sweet and dry fruity malts with an effervescent, bubblegum and floral bitterness in the mix. Clean, bitter flavor finishes light and spicy with a bit of a burnt, fruity aftertaste.
M: Medium-bodied, sharp and spicy mouthfeel.
D: A solid option on its own or with friend calamari, this 5.9% "Saison" styled brew is a good hybrid nearing the Belgian IPA family. Satisfying hop flavors and the light, clean, floral, fruity and bitter herbal taste of a Belgian ale.

This take on saison is brewed with Five different flowers and wildflower honey
A - this saison is darker than I expected for a saison, its a dark amber/light tan in color, with a thin wispy white head
S - clean and crisp, some light malty sweetness with some typical saison aromas - the yeastiness and the spice notes, the floral aromas are present but extremely faint
T - sweet malts are ever present and at the front of the taste, the wildflower honey comes out big and is discernible as wildflower honey, the floral notes strengthen but do not reach a powerful or poignant level
M&D - light and nearly effervescent on the palate, layers of several quality and diametrically opposed flavors, a unique and tasty brew, well done Willibrew
